报告人简介

Prof. ZhangDao Hua received BSc and MSc from Shandong University in 1978 and 1982, respectively, and PhD from University of New South Wales(UNSW), Australia in 1989. After completing his 2 years’ Postdoctoral Research at UNSW, he joined Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore in 1991 as a lecturer and was then promoted to Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor and full Professor. He has been Associate editor, member of editorial board and guest editor for over 10 international journals, in International Advisory and program committee of over 10 international conferences, and the chair and co-chair of over 12 international conferences. He joined Shenzhen Pinghu Laboratory as Chief Scientist of the 4th generation semiconductor materials and devices. He is a Fellow of Institution of Engineering and Technology (FIET) and Institute of Physics (FInstP), and also the Fellow of Academy of Engineering Singapore (FSAEng).

报告内容简介

In this talk, I will first briefly introduce our work conducted at Nanyang Technological University in the recent year which includes metasurfaces and their application in sensing, surface plasmon enhanced light emission and photodetection, as well as new type of T-Hz-mm wave photodetectors. I will also introduce the capability of our Shenzhen Pinghu lab and share with you our recent research on the ultra-wide bandgap semiconductor materials and devices, including gallium oxide, aluminum nitride and diamond. More collaboration between Shenzhen Pinghu lab andShenzhen University is expected.
