On December 11 at noon, the College of Materials Science and Engineering hosted a warm and welcoming “Dean and Party Secretary Luncheon” in Room 209 of the Weipin Community. Attendees included Lv Qian, Party Secretary of the College of Materials Science and Engineering; Vice Deans Zhu Deliang, Chen Xiaoqiang, and Hu Lipeng; Deputy Secretary Li Xiaoping; Liu Bin, Deputy Director of the Department of Polymer Materials and Engineering; Liu Jianwen, Deputy Director of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering; Luo Junxuan from the Experimental Center; and counselors Zhou Yan, Xia Junyi, and Li Shuheng, as well as student representatives from undergraduate, master, and doctoral classes. The luncheon was hosted by Shi Jiating.

At the meeting, student representatives actively offered suggestions on academic matters, awards, and honors. The college representatives listened carefully and addressed each point: optimizing the curriculum and strengthening academic guidance; clarifying career development pathways and connecting with alumni resources; ensuring adequate research conditions and improving equipment training and consumables management; and enhancing living facilities to promote improvements to the campus environment.

At the end of the luncheon, Secretary Lv Qian thanked the students for their sense of ownership and stated that the college would continue to improve communication channels between faculty and students, pooling collective wisdom to advance a holistic educational approach that involves everyone, every stage, and every aspect of the learning process.
