On the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of Shenzhen University, the College of Materials Science and Engineering held a grand alumni homecoming symposium, specially inviting alumni of the class of 2005 to return to their alma mater and share their friendship. Chen Yunfei, Director of the Student Affairs Office, Lin Danfeng, Director of the Logistics Support Department of Shenzhen University and an alumnus of the 2005 graduating class, Zhu Deliang, vice Dean of the College of Materials Science and Engineering, Li Xiaoping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Xie Shenghui, Teacher Cao Peijiang, Faculty Member Liu Wenjun and other class advisors of the 2005 class jointly received the alumni who returned to school and participated in the exchange and discussion together.

Li Xiaoping first extended a warm welcome on behalf of the college to all the alumni for their return to their alma mater. Faculty Member Xie Shenghui and the alumni affectionately recalled the unforgettable experiences of climbing Mount Hua together and participating in professional internships in the past. Chen Yunfei presented a meaningful gift to all the alumni - the "Dare to Take Responsibility, Dare to Act" chair. This gift encourages everyone to take on heavy responsibilities and be proactive in both their careers and lives.

Zhu Deliang gave a detailed account to the alumni of the remarkable achievements the college has made in recent years in terms of discipline construction, scientific research innovation and talent cultivation. He hoped that the alumni would continue to care about and support the development of the college, become the “golden name card” showcasing the college's image, and actively contribute to the college's development.

Subsequently, the alumni sharing session unfolded in a warm and harmonious atmosphere. Attendees spoke freely, reliving the cherished moments from their school days and sharing their growth insights over the past two decades in both career and life.

At the end of the event, alumni representatives presented flowers to the teachers to express their gratitude. All the participants took a group photo as a memento, capturing this precious friendship and beautiful moment forever.

This symposium is not only a warm gathering of the friendship among classmates and between teachers and students, but also a vivid testimony to the continuous inheritance of Shenzhen University's spirit. It has written a new chapter for the College of Materials Science and Engineering and its alumni to move forward hand in hand toward a bright future.
