In order to promptly understand the freshmen’s adaptation to campus life and help them integrate into the big family of the College of Materials Science and Engineering as soon as possible, on the evening of September 2nd, the College of Materials Science and Engineering organized a visit to the freshmen's dormitories. Wang Lei, Dean of the college; Li Xiaoping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Chen Xiaoqiang, Wang Dong, and Hu Lipeng, Vice Deans of the college, university instructors, class advisors and student representatives jointly entered the Wutong Tree Dormitories, bringing the college's earnest care and warm greetings to the students.

The college leaders extended a warm welcome to the freshmen and had in-depth exchanges with them on topics such as adapting to life, understanding of their majorand academic planning. Dean Wang Lei, Vice Dean Hu Lipeng, Chen Xiaoqiang, Wang Dong and Deputy Secretary Li Xiaoping encouraged the students to establish academic goals early, pay attention to the latest developments in the discipline and actively engage in academic study and future scientific research , and patiently answered the professional questions raised by the students.

Heart-to-Heart Communication, Caring for girls' dormitory life.

Meanwhile, university instructors Liu Ying and Xia Junyi visited the girls' dormitories, had a warm chat with the students, and inquired in detail about their feelings about campus life after enrollment and their first impression of the campus.

The college earnestly emphasized that both safety education and humanistic care should be given equal weight.

Military training is about to start soon. Teachers also kindly reminded students to strictly abide by the training discipline and pay attention to balancing work and rest at the same time. Dean Wang Lei hopes that students can learn to balance study and life, build up a strong physique, spend a fulfilling and wonderful four years in the College of Materials Science and Engineering, and eventually achieve academic success and realize their dreams.
