To truly understand the living and learning conditions of students after their return to school and to strengthen the "first line" of education and service, on the evening of September 16th, Li Xiaoping, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Materials Science and Engineering, led all the university instructor and class advisors to visit the student dormitories and have face-to-face communication with the students.
During the visit, the teachers inquired in detail about the students' dormitory life conditions, emphasizing the importance of a comfortable and orderly living environment for study and life, and making the dormitory a warm haven for the students. At the same time, students are reminded to pay attention to the notifications on channels such as the class group, school notice channels, and the college homepage to ensure that no important information is missed. Special emphasis is placed on precautions such as electrical safety in dormitories, theft prevention, and fraud prevention to strengthen the campus safety defense line.

In terms of academic guidance, teachers adopt precise measures based on the characteristics of each grade. For the sophomores who have just undergone major diversion, teachers patiently listened to their adaptation to the new class and new learning focus, encouraged them to adjust their learning pace, actively communicate and collaborate with classmates, and proactively seek advice from teachers. For graduates, teachers thoroughly understand their employment intentions and the progress of their postgraduate entrance examination review. They provide targeted suggestions in combination with industry trends and university policies to help graduates smoothly pursue further studies and find employment.

This dormitory visit activity not only brought teachers and students closer together, allowing students to feel the care of the college in the details, but also significantly enhanced students' safety awareness and self-management ability. Looking ahead, the college will continuously strengthen the construction of student communities, integrate diverse educational methods such as dormitory visits, theme class meetings, and online interactions, achieve regular and in-depth communication with students, fully enhance the effectiveness of education, create a better learning and living environment for students' growth and success, and steadily advance the educational work in the new semester.
