On 1st July, CMSE student Li Qi donated bone marrow. Li Qi said, ‘As a veteran, it is very meaningful and fortunate to be able to save a person's life through my little effort. Since joining CMSE, I have always regarded voluntary blood donation as my responsibility and duty. So far, I have donated blood 11 times, with a total amount of 3,700 ml. Each blood donation is a sign of respect and care for life. Three years ago, I learned for the first time that I could apply to join the Chinese Bone Marrow Bank and become a blood stem cell donor to bring the hope of life to those patients in dire need of help. I registered my name without hesitation at that time.’
Youth has a voice, great love has no words. Li Qi's selfless act of kindness is like a ‘seed of life’ that carries hope, germinating and growing today. He watered the flower of life with his passionate blood, and sent the patients from afar the dawn of regaining vitality. This act of kindness not only crosses the boundary of distance, but also closely connects two people who have never met before, writing the hymn of life together.
Li Qi's action is not only a reflection of personal courage, but also a vivid interpretation of the spirit of social welfare. His story shows us the power of love and selflessness, and also inspires more people to join the ranks of blood donation and hematopoietic stem cell donation.
