On the afternoon of September 13, 2023, the opening ceremony of the 2023 freshmen of the College of Materials Science and Engineering was grandly held in the Wenhui Auditorium of the Lihu Campus. Peng Xiaojun, academician of the CAS Member, president of the college, Lv Qian, secretary of the Party Committee, Zhu Deliang, Wang Dong, Hu Lipeng , vice president, and some teachers of the college attended the ceremony. All undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in 2023 attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Li Xiaoping, Deputy Secretary of the College Party Committee.
