On the evening of September 7, the College of Materials Science and Engineering conducted dormitory visits for its 2026 undergraduate freshmen. Dean Wang Lei and other leaders, together with class advisors and counselors, visited student dormitories to learn about the freshmen’s adaptation to campus life, and reminded them to pay attention to electrical safety, keep their rooms tidy, and maintain regular daily routines.

Teachers answered students’ questions about course learning, introduction to research, and academic competitions, encouraging them to actively enter laboratories and consolidate their professional foundation. The activity built a bridge for teacher-student communication and laid a foundation for freshman education.

The College of Materials Science and Engineering will continue to uphold the student-centered philosophy and make sustained efforts in academic guidance, living assistance, and development.
