On September 9, 2026, Wang Kaifeng from the College of Materials Science and Engineering of Shenzhen University visited Foshan University to deliver a graduate admissions presentation. More than 200 students from the School of Materials and Energy of Foshan University attended the event. The session was lively and further strengthened the connections between the two universities in talent cultivation, academic exchange, and the expansion of graduate applicant sources.

Dr. Wang first introduced Shenzhen University’s development history, educational characteristics, disciplinary layout, location advantages, and
talent cultivation environment, with a focus on the open educational pattern and development vitality shaped by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Shenzhen’s innovative industrial system. He then, in light of frontier developments in materials science and major national needs, systematically introduced the College of Materials Science and Engineering of Shenzhen University, covering its faculty, research platforms, research directions, graduate admissions policies, scholarship and financial aid systems, and graduates’ further study and employment outcomes. He also provided detailed introductions to the College’s research areas, including new energy materials and devices, novel semiconductor optoelectronic materials and devices, intelligent materials and artificial intelligence, functional semiconductor materials and optoelectronic energy devices, and specialized chemical power sources and electronic information materials.

The presentation attracted an enthusiastic response. Students actively raised questions on application requirements, research directions, preparation for the second-round examination/interview, research training, and future development. Dr. Wang answered each question in detail. This event further deepened Foshan University students’ understanding of the College of Materials Science and Engineering of Shenzhen University and laid a solid foundation for future cooperation between the two universities in talent cultivation, admissions promotion, research collaboration, and academic exchange. We look forward to welcoming more outstanding students from Foshan University to the College of Materials Science and Engineering of Shenzhen University.
