College of Materials Science and Engineering Held Collaborative Exchange Event With XtalPi Technology

To deepen university-industry cooperation and jointly advance innovation in materials science and intelligent technology, a delegation from XtalPi Technology visited thecollegeofmaterialsscienceand engineeringon February 26 for in-depth discussions on building a smart laboratory and exploring future collaborations. The event was held at theCollegeofMaterials Scienceand Engineering, with attendees including Liu Weidong, Head of Automation Business at XtalPi, Liu Qiuhua, Director of Technology Innovation, and other company representatives. The university was represented by Zhang Jiefeng, Vice President of the Research Institute for Scientific and Technological Development, Lü Qian, Party Secretary ofthe CollegeofMaterials Scienceand Engineering, Wang Lei, Executive Dean, Chen Xiaoqiang, Vice Dean, Academician Luo Jingli, and other faculty members. Both sides reached broad consensus on the objectives and cooperation model for the smart laboratory.

Vice President Zhang Jiefeng, along with XtalPi’s Liu Weidong and Liu Qiuhua, toured the research building and laboratories at Shenzhen University’s Lihu Campus, gaining a detailed understanding of the School of Materials Science’s experimental capabilities in intelligent materials research.

Subsequently, Vice President Zhang Jiefeng chaired a symposium. Executive Dean Wang Lei delivered a welcome speech, expressing enthusiasm for the collaboration and highlighting the vast potential for joint efforts in smart laboratory development.

During the meeting, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on the objectives, functional planning, and technical requirements of the smart laboratory. Representatives from XtalPi elaborated on the company’s technological strengths and innovative achievements in automation and intelligent systems, while faculty members outlined the School’s needs regarding laboratory intelligence. Preliminary agreements were reached on resource integration.

This event marks a crucial step in the collaboration between theCollegeofMaterials Scienceand Engineering andXtalPi in building a smart laboratory. Moving forward, the two sides will deepen their partnership to jointly drive innovation in materials science, enhancing thecollege’s experimental teaching and research capabilities.
