Researcher Liu Xinke from College of Materials Science and Engineering Was Elected as Fellow of the Institute of Physics (IOP)

Recently, Researcher Liu Xinke from Shenzhen University was elected as a 2025 Fellow of the Institute of Physics (FInstP) in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the research of gallium nitride (GaN) power devices. Founded in 1873, the Institute of Physics (IOP) is a prestigious international academic organization dedicated to advancing the understanding and application of physics. Its mission is to promote the development and dissemination of physics worldwide, as well as to foster physics education. Based on expert recommendations, the IOP annually selects scientists from the UK and abroad who have achieved remarkable accomplishments in physics research and made significant contributions to advancing the field.

About Liu Xinke:

Liu Xinke serves as the Director of the Power Semiconductor Devices and AI Energy Monitoring Engineering Technology Research Institute at Shenzhen University. He is also a researcher at the School of Materials Science and the National Key Laboratory of Radio Frequency Heterogeneous Integration. His accolades include being a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC, 2024), an IEEE Senior Member, and a doctoral advisor. His research focuses on wide-bandgap semiconductor GaN materials and devices. He has published 121 SCI-indexed papers as first or corresponding author in prestigious journals such asMaterials Today,Advanced Materials, andIEEE EDL/TED. He has led key research projects, including those under the National Key R&D Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Youth and General Programs), and the Guangdong Natural Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars.
