Introduction of Professor Klaus Müllen
Professor Klaus Müllen , member of the German Academy of Sciences, member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and member of the European Academy of Sciences. He is the first foreign associate editor of the Journal of the American Chemical Society,and a world-renowned Organic and Polymer chemist. Prof. Müllen received Ph.D. degrees from Basel University in 1972. In 1989, he joined the Max Planck Society of Germany as Director, dedicated to the design and synthesis of polymer carbon nanomaterials. Research direction: Graphene and other carbon materials, functional dyes, new synthetic methodology, organometallic chemistry, new polymers with complex spatial conformations, conjugated polymers, liquid crystal materials, organic optoelectronic devices, biosynthetic materials, complex Molecules, nanocomposites. Prof. Klaus Müllen has published more than 1900 papers , including Science, Nature, Nature Chemistry, Nature Materials, J. Am. Chem. Soc. , Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. , Adv. Mater,and owned 60 patents. He is the most cited scientist in the field of chemistry in Germany, with an H-index of 136.
