UA ’3+1+1’ Cooperate Program

Introduction

This program provides the opportunity for senior-year undergraduate students enrolling at SZU to study at UA and earn credits as senior students at SZU. SZU undergraduate students enrolled in their third-year degree courses will be considered for undergraduate guest admission to UA. After successful completion of the first year of course work at UA and meeting the requirements of bachelor's degree of SZU , SZU will award a bachelor’s degree to students. UA will grant the students full admission to the master’s program upon confirmation they have met the minimum requirements .

Introduction to UA

The University of Akron is a public research university in the United States. Located in Ohioit was Founded in 1870. It is well known in the field of polymer science. Students of the University of Akron come from 83 countries, and about 76% of foreign students are from Asia, 9% from Europe, 6% from North, Central and South America, and 5% from Africa.

The University of Akron is the only public university in Ohio that is ranked the Top5 public universities for its science and engineering courses. The University of Akron is composed of the Butchertel college of Sciences, college of Business and Management, college of Education, college of Engineering, college of Art, college of Law, college of Nursing, college of Polymer Science and Engineering, Honors college, Wayne College and Sa Mitte College . The University of Akron can currently award more than 200 bachelor’s degrees and 100 master’s or doctoral degrees.

There are 22636 students in the university, more than 200 bachelor’s majors and research fields, more than 100 master’s programs, and 17 doctoral programs. The university of Akron has nearly 725 faculty members, 84% of whom have doctoral degree or the highest degree in their professional field.

The College of Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering is home to the worlds largest polymer academic program and greatest concentration of polymer expertise-helping to establish Northeast Ohio as an advanced functional materials hub that competes on the world stage in the development and commercialization of materials for many industries.
