主要从事低维度材料的制备及其表面调控,同时实现研制新颖微/纳结构电子、能源存储器件。在ACS NANO, Advanced Materials, Advanced Energy Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Chemical Society Reviews, Energy & Environmental Science, Nature Communication, Nano Energy等杂志发表相关学术文章,其中12篇文章入选ESI高被引论文,个人H-index学术指数为36。2019年入选Nature Index材料科学领域后起之秀年轻科学家(全球共五人,https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-019-03765-0)。
