材料学院学术报告四:Noble Metal Nanoparticles for Oxygen Reduction Reactio

报告摘要:

Noble metal nanoparticles (e. g. Au, Pd, Pt or Alloy) have been attracting continuous research interests in electrocatalytic field in the past decade, thanks to their remarkable catalytic activities toward oxygen reduction, hydrogen evolution, CO2reduction, water oxidation and so on. Nanocomposites based on gold nanoclusters Au102(p-MBA)44and porous carbon nanosheets have been fabricated and employed as highly efficient electrocatalysts for ORR. Porous carbon supported molecular clusters Au25(SC2H4Ph)18, Au38(SC2H4Ph)24and Au144(SC2H4Ph)60have been synthesized, and demonstrated excellent reactivity for ORR. Strong size effects were established, and "the smaller the more precious" principle was perfectly manifested. In addition, ultrasmall Pd clusters were in-situ prepared and displayed superior activity and stability than commercial Pd black. PdAu alloyed clusters have been fabricated and the composition were optimized to maximizing the electrocatalytic activity.

报告人简介:

唐正华,男,华南理工大学环境与能源学院副教授,博士生导师,广东省杰出青年科学基金获得者。2005.7本科毕业于兰州大学化学化工学院;2012.7在美国佐治亚州立大学化学系获博士学位。2012.8-2014.7在迈阿密大学做博士后研究;2014.8-今在华南理工大学新能源研究所陈少伟教授团队工作。主要研究方向为贵金属原子簇,燃料电池,纳米催化,生物纳米材料等。目前已经在JACS, ACS Nano, Chem. Mater., Nanoscale, ACS Appl. Mater. Interfaces, J. Power Sources, Langmuir, JPCC等学术期刊上发表论文40余篇。申请美国发明专利一项,中国国家发明专利3项。主持国家青年科学基金,广东省公益研究与能力建设项目,广东省杰出青年科学基金等。
